Reinventing How the UK Finds Trusted Trades
TheProperHandyman was founded with a singular purpose: to remove the friction, hidden fees, and mistrust from hiring home improvement contractors in the UK.
Fair for Independent Trades
Our memberships give independent tradespeople a clear monthly contact allowance, local job matching and a public business profile to showcase their work.
Peace of Mind for Homeowners
Posting a job is free, and homeowners are under no obligation to hire. Compare the information businesses provide and check current qualifications and insurance before agreeing to any work.
Rooted in the UK Community
Based in Birmingham, England, we are building a marketplace for home improvement jobs across the UK. Tradesperson availability varies by location as our network grows.
UK Sole Trader Governance
TheProperHandyman is operated by Michal Kot, trading as TheProperHandyman, registered and based in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. We pride ourselves on direct, personal customer service without corporate bureaucracy.
